Runaway go-carts, careening down the hill-- Y’know we’re gonna crash’em, yeah I’m certain we will. Runaway go-carts, straight into the mist; What we’re gonna find there is anybody’s guess. Runaway go-carts sending up sparks. Tryin’ to illumine the infinite dark; Runaway go-carts, you can grip the wheel Tighter with your fingers, but you’re gonna crash still. So what do we do now with the time we have? Live with all your might now, and in danger’s face laugh. Love those around you while you still can. The flames burn hotter when they feel the wind. Runaway go-carts, someday we’re gonna crash Headlong into nowhere in a sudden flash. ‘Till then throw your hands up and shout to the sky. Maybe I’ll see you on the other side. Maybe I’ll see you on the other side. You’re not the driver, you’re not the car; You made everything near and far. You’re not the hill and you’re not the mist; There is no future and there is no past. You are the now and you are the here; The universe, it is your mirror. The universe, it is your mirror. The universe, it is your mirror. The universe, it is your mirror. The universe, it is your mirror.

Verse 1: We saw the city by foot Undercover of the night, And a good root beer buzz Made you feel alright. Tried to scare the near-sighted girl With raspberry jam, But even with her glasses off She knew it was a scam. Chorus: B-Man where’d you go? I don’t know. B-Man where’d you go? I don’t know! Verse 2: In your slippers and your robe Smoking an old wood pipe, A serious look on your face Though you were laughing inside-- Beating the dormitory doors With a wiffle ball bat, You fooled that old R.D. With sounds of dog and cat. Chorus Verse 3: Roscoe P. Coltrane Lives inside your brain, And it really chaps my hide, The one I seek I can’t find. We stayed in touch a while And across many a mile, But so much time has passed And it went by so fast. Chorus

Trickery 02:42
Verse 1: Everybody’s buying what they’re selling. When they’re going to realize, there’s no telling. The writings on the wall--what’s it spelling? Someone dug a pit; people fell in. Pre-Chorus: Leaders Propagandize Seeking to Aggrandize, But I see through their lies And all I say is, “Nice try! Chorus: You’re not fooling me, ‘cause I can plainly see It’s trickery...it's trickery. Verse 2: Products in my face: your perverse program. Lies in my space--I see through them. Pre-Chorus Chorus Verse 3: Break your mental chains; free your mind! Straight jackets of your brains: loose the binds! Pre-Chorus Chorus 2x's

The company owns the product, children The company owns your soul The company is the perfect villain When you feel you’re in a hole Don’t blame the company, you’ve dug your own pit You’re piling dirt on top There’s nothing funny ‘bout playing the victim, it Is time you start to start to stop Imagination creates this whole world Imagination calcified It’s responsible for all our failures Leave no ideas untried It’s a failure of imagination That’s right, that's right, that’s where we’re at It’s the reason for your rank and station What do think of that? The government owns the life you’re living Your life and your spirit The piper’s calling, something new he’s giving The tune he plays, can you hear it? It’s a failure of imagination That’s right, that's right, that’s where we’re at Let work together, a new way of living What do you think of that? It begins within the revolution And like ripples from a stone It spreads outward and that’s the solution We’ll work together, not alone Combat this failure of imagination Where you’re at’s not what you are Combat this failure of imagination Skyrocket like a shooting star

Well, people are trees With their thoughts in the breeze, All limbs and leaves, And it makes me grieve That each leafy tree Says, "This is me," But fails to see The totality: The dirt and sun, The streams that run... They'd be stunned To know it's all one-- It's all one. People are trees! People are trees! People are trees! People are trees! People are trees! People are trees! People are trees! People are trees!

about

"Chock-a-doodle-bop!" is a collection of some of my more rock and/or roll oriented tracks from past albums. I thought it would be a good idea to collect these songs all in one place for my rock fans who want to bypass hearing my hippy-dippy folk songs and my hoity-toity experimental music. You're welcome!
