Black Swan
03:37
|
|||
Traveling on space highway now
Three long years to this day
A billion million trillion miles
Home is a long, long way away
From bow to stern she's 20 miles long
Ten miles high and wide
A beautiful swan in a silent sea
No water to slow her down
Sometimes it seems we're motionless
Caught between time and space
Other times star systems rush headlong by
Like stallions who will burst if they rest
No earthly sound can penetrate
There’s black and there is void
Only thoughts and dreams of the unborn there
Free your body and fill your mind
Every day down those quiet canyons
Like a love that formed the stars
And people that shop at the market place
And the ship floats ever, ever on
If ever we come to our promised land
Gotta take the shuttle back
For the black swan never ever comes to rest
Never stops to say goodbye

Verse 1:
This is not a metaphor
You’re murdering mi amor
This ain’t no analogy
You’re taking my mother from me
Mother Earth, Gaia
It makes me want to cry-a
She’s alive and She’s sustaining us
To attack Her is insane for us
Chorus:
Please save our Mother
We don’t have another
The time’s here to love Her
Please save our Mother
Verse 2:
I’ve told you about the inter-dimensional
Sasquatch from outer space
I don’t blame you for not believing
But the message is real
Change before it’s too late
Chorus
Bridge:
Prithvi Mata
Atira
Mother Earth
We need Ya
Prithvi Mata
Gaia
Mother Earth
We love Ya
Chorus

Elegy for a Star
02:42
|
|||
Let's lie down & stare at the dying star
Turning red to white just before
Exploding into a supernova
In space this happens over & over
It happens light years away then fades to black
If time repeats itself it might fade back
Drop the key from E to D
Expressing the instrumentality
Within
As we lie down & stare at the dying star
Let’s lie down & stare at the dying star
Turning red to white just before
Exploding into a supernova
Now our time is almost over
The night is fading but it’ll be back
This broken universe is only cracked

There is an Ocean
02:43
|
|||
There is an ocean mysterious & deep
That rolls in our hearts and its tide does not sleep
The waves are electrical, charged with a light
But they find no shore so they roll day and night
And the ocean in you is the ocean in me
And the ocean's in everyone but some don't see
And the ocean in you is the ocean in me
And the ocean's in everyone but some don't see
Some try to dam it with rules & theology
But it is what it is and that's what it ought to be
And some turn their back 'cause they can't comprehend
But the deep overwhelms even them in the end
And the ocean in you is the ocean in me
And the ocean's in everyone but some don't see
And the ocean's below and the ocean's above
And the ocean is peace, but most of all love

Hello Sasquatch Woman, it’s been a long time.
How are you? I hope you’re fine.
And by the way, I love you.
I was born on an earth that was barely alive
And to try and save it I traveled backward thru time
And on the way I met you.
I lived in an Alaska whose face was changing.
I was part of an indigenous sovereign nation.
As you know, that is my tale.
My tribal name, Narluga, is a marine mammal
That exists in the futa from which I’ve traveled;
The offspring of two kinds of whales.
The Narwhal & Beluga, the Polar & Grizzly;
They have their Nalruga, they have their Pizzly,
Respectively, so why not we?
You have fur and I have flesh.
You’re 10ft tall, I’m somewhat less,
But we could be happy.
If you could love me as I love you,
Sasquatch & human, stand in my shoes--
Well, not literally--
And not only that, but if we joined our fates
We could save the human race,
Albeit a bit more fuzzy.
Hello Sasquatch Woman, it’s been a long time.
How are you? I hope you’re fine.
And by the way I love you.
And She said, "Narluga, what is time?
I’m doing well, but I have to decline.
And by the way, I love you."

Not Me
03:50
|
|||
Rusty metal boxcar in the sun
Just an empty husk
Turning into dust
Dreaming of a day when this is done
Pile of bricks all chipped & growing moss
Life was yesterday
Now they turn to clay
Grieving over time that they have lost
Chorus:
But not me
I'm not going that way
I'll be free
On that last day
As sure as I'm a free man here today
Nothing can take that freedom away
Shards of broken glass jammed in the dirt
Once their surface gleamed
Reflected all that's seen
Now they just reflect heartache & hurt
Ripped up piece of denim in dead grass
1 time they belonged
But that time is gone
Vanity, that time is surely past
Chorus

It’s time to radicalize our neighbors
To an extreme ideology
Put our manifesto in the papers
Convince everyone we see
That opposition to our position
Will only lead them to folly
Yes, we have a radical vision
Peace and love for you and me
So get your nose out of people’s business
Unless you’re there to give support
Put your money where your heart is
If that’s a thing you can afford
But first and foremost and more important
Open your heart to everyone you see
Open your mind and show that you want
Peace and love for you and me

Night Ballad
03:12
|
|||
The moon is framed with angel hair
Cuts me to my soul
In the dark the rustling leaves
Whisper tales untold
I walk the spiral stony path
Blades of grass protrude
In the breeze the frog sings low
A brassy interlude
The starry dome-shaped panorama
Of the nighttime sky
Shames one thousand manmade chapels
Makes the stone saints cry
In the midst of all of this
My questions flee undressed
For no words can ever clothe them
My thoughts can find no rest
I have found a makeshift chair
Of haphazard stones
Along the foamy sea shore there
And I sit down alone
All my fragile, feeble queries
I cast them to the winds
There’s no meaning I can find
Save experience
